Puppy Camping

Puppy campers are volunteers who are willing to assist puppy raisers by caring for their puppies when they need it. You would be able to choose the duration that you would have the puppy, and this will typically range from a few hours to a few days. This is a great option for people who would like to be a part of the puppy raising process, but who cannot commit to raising a puppy full time.

WHY PUPPY CAMP

Puppy camping is a great option for those who would like to be involved in the puppy raising process, but who have time restrictions that prevent them from doing so. This is also a good option for those who are on the fence about puppy raising because it gives you a small taste of what it's like!

REQUIREMENTS

We expect our campers to have the same understanding and skills as our raisers when it comes to socializing pups, teaching obedience, and house manners. They must remain up-to-date on all training techniques used by the foundation. Unfortunately, with campus regulations on service animals in training on campus, you cannot be a puppy camper if you are living in on-campus housing.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Once a puppy camper completes the application process, they will be added to a GroupMe in which our raisers ask for someone to watch their puppy. Campers take these opportunities based off of their own schedule.

The raiser will supply the camper with everything he/she should need. There are no costs associated with being a puppy camper unless something is broken/damaged while the puppy is in your care.
